Cyriaque the archaeologist

In a distant future where nature has reclaimed its rights and humans combine advanced technology, medieval techniques and magic to survive, an archaeologist searches for ruins and artefacts from our current civilisation to understand how we function.

In order to save his pet, a giant salamander named Ulabylu, he magically embedded it in his right arm. Since then he can summon Ulabylu's claw directly from his shoulder and the salamander can emerge from the arm for a short time.
